Organic Gardening Tips:

There are ways to control weeds and insects in a gardent without depending on chemical sprays. Here are some natural substances that work well and are easy on the environment.

Epsom Salt: Mixing common Epsom salt with a couple of other ingredients and spreading among garden plants can attract and kill a number of garden pests. Use 60-65% bran, 15% molasses, and 20-25% Epsom Salt. Salt also makes a good weed barrier along lawn edgings and other hard to reach places.

Cider Vinegar: Mix three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of molasses in a gallon of water for a solution to control fungus. For hardy weeds, add some salt to the vinegar for a stronger spray. Be sure to apply the vinegar mixture directly onto the weeds.

Hydrogen Peroxide: Mixing 8 Ounces of food grade hydrogen peroxide and 8 Ounces of white sugar or black strap molasses in a gallon of water makes a great garden insect spray, and is completely natural and harmless to humans and pets.

We hope you have luck trying some of these all natural gardening tips while makine your gardens more beautiful at the same time!
